Count Cartair was the among the most beloved rulers of the County of Ulek, a semi-legendary figure reigning from between -144 to -44 CY.
Description
Cartair wielded a magic sword known as Nurbilac and a magic shield known as Predwin.
Relationships
Cartair was served by his three favored knights, the human Cainon, the elf Hulewel, and he dwarf ]]Brantom]]. Cartair's son, by Gwenhara (his cousin and bride), was Mulroy.
History
Living before the County was incorporated into the Kingdom of Keoland, Cartair fought armies of both orcs from the neighboring Lortmil Mountains and Keolanders from across the Sheldomar River. His doom came when his son Mulroy was seduced by a succubus and turned against his sire. The two ended up slaying one another on the field of battle.
