Jurnre is the capital city for the County of Ulek.
History
Jurnre was founded by Immris of the Suloise house of Rhola around 900 years ago. Allying with the local halflings and gnomes, Immris and his household founded a citadel on what they called the Hill of Stars by the banks of the Kewl River. Many of Immris's troops and servants were Oeridian, and they were soon joined by Oeridians and Flan who were attracted by the stability of Immris's realm. In time, a steady influx of Suloise who had repented of war joined them as well, and Immris's expert leadership helped knit them all together into a city and nation they called Jurnre. In 292 CY, Jurnre was absorbed peacefully into Keoland as the capital of the County of Ulek.
In 506 CY, at the height of the Hateful Wars, refugee orcs and goblins laid siege upon Jurnre, but failed to break it. When Keoish seapower was at its lowest, raiders from the Sea Princes tried unsuccessfully to attack Jurnre by sailing up the Kewl. Neither of these events had any long-term effect in Jurnre beyond inspiring the construction of new watchtowers along the river and the higher city walls.
